How do I spend my weekend?

How do I spend my weekend?

Do I even really have a weekend?

Throughout the week, I work hard trying to get all my assignments done. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that I have two days of freedom after a long five days of school.

But am I really free even on the weekend?

No matter how much time and effort I put in during the week, it seems like some of my assignments make their way over to the weekend, constantly pressing my free time down to oblivion.

The time that I hope for all week to spend with my family and friends is spent on school. Of course I try my best to make time to relax, but it still seems as though school has taken over my life. How did it get to this point? Is it really worth it for students to commit themselves to school this way?

I want to get good grades. I want to particulate in extracurriculars. I want to do whatever’s necessary to get into a good college. I want to spend time with my family and friends. When I look back at my high school years, I don’t want the only thing I remember to be school. I want to make meaningful memories. But do I really have enough time to do this all?

Hence, I wish I had more weekends to spend.
